In the UK alone, over 2,000 youngpeople take their own lives everyyear. Some of them are students.
We cannot stop suicide from occurring; it hasalways been part of our society. But there is sufficient evidence that preventionand intervention can go a long way in helpingsomebody STOP from making the decision totake that irreversible final step.
Students often feel afraid to tell anybody about their suicidal feelings for fear of being told they are being over- dramatic or because they are scared they will be forced to relinquish control and placed under monitoring conditions to stop them from harming themselves.WE NEED TO… TACKLE THIS ISSUE ACROSS UNIVERSITY CAMPUSES IN A STUDENT-FRIENDLY WAY.
AIMS: 1)To initiate self-worth and higher levels of self-esteem we want to ask students to think of the reasonswhy they are here and what benefits they bring to thisworld that nobody else can. 1) What do you get Keep it out of bed for?
