  • Getting Started with the 7 What’s• Select a piece of content that you’ve created. For example, a book chapter.• Consider the relationship you want to cultivate with your readers.• How do your readers prefer to receive information?• Next, use the 7 What’s to reorganize your content into specific, valuable chunks.
  • The 7 What’s of Valuable Content• What is a statement of fact?• What is a provocative statistic?• What is an interesting question?• What do you want to know more about?• What is a powerful quote?• What is a milestone date?• What is an informative resource that readers will find useful?
  • Convert “What’s” Into Tangible Actions• Blog posts• Tweets• Speeches• Amazon Singles (short ebooks)• Podcasts• Video posts All of these social media applications allow you to measure results and to generate reports. Use them!
  • Set Targets&Measure Them!Know what you want toachieve and by when. Forexample, is your goal to buildyour mailing list, sell productsand services, enhance yourbrand visibility, etc.?Focus on one target. Develop amarketing message strategy thatsupports an ongoing and growingrelationship with your audience.
