  • TED Talk EvaluationMelissa McGuire
  • SIMON SINEKHOW GREAT LEADERS INSPIRE ACTION
  • THESIS: HOW LEADERS MOTIVATE OTHERS INTO ACTION
  • HE STATES THAT LEADERS ARE SUCCESSFULBECAUSE THEY STAND BEHIND WHAT THEY BELIEVE, AND APPEAL TO AN AUDIENCE WHO SHARE THOSE SAME BELIEFS.
  • HE USED DRAWINGS ANDGRAPHS TO ILLUSTRATE WHAT HE WAS SAYING VISUALLY.
  • SIMON USED BOTH THE 2ND AND 3RDCOMMANDMENT. HE SPEAKS OF WONDROUSFEATS AND WHY PASSION IS SO IMPORTANT IN LEADERS
  • SIMON CONTINUED TO HOLD THE AUDIENCE’S ATTENTION BY CONSTANTLY ASKING QUESTIONS. HE ALSO USED EXAMPLES OF SUCCESSESAND FAILURES IN LEADERSHIP THAT WERE EASY TO UNDERSTAND
  • OVERALL I GIVE SIMON SINEK’S PRESENTATION......
  • THE SPEECH WAS VERY INTERESTING, HOWEVER I FELT AS THOUGH HE COULD HAVE PUT A LITTLE MORE ENERGY INTO THE PRESENTATION4.5
  • I LEARNED THAT INSPIRATION IS NOT ONLYIMPORTANT TO BE A LEADER, BUT ALSO WHEN GIVING SPEECHES. IN ORDER TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE, YOU MUST MAKE AN IMPACT TO JOLT PEOPLE INTO ACTION.
  • THERE WERE SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCES BETWEEN KENROBINSON AND SIMON SINEK’S SPEECHES. KEN ROBINSON TOLD STORIES AND KEPT THE AUDIENCE LAUGHING. WHILE SIMON TOLD SOME STORIES, HE WASN’T NEARLY AS FUNNY AS KEN. HOWEVER BOTH SPEECHES WERE SUCCESSFUL. THIS WASINTERESTING TO SEE DIFFERENT TYPES OF STYLES BOTH BEING USED EFFECTIVELY.
  • TIPS FOR MY CLASSMATESJUST RELAX AND TRUST THAT YOU CAN DO IT
  • THE TIPS FROM REYNOLDS AND DUARTE TO USEIMAGES AND SMALL AMOUNTS OF TEXTS WERE USED IN THIS PRESENTATION.I LEARNED MANY THINGS FROM WATCHING MULTIPLE TED SPEECHES...
  • I HOPE TO USE THE KNOWLEDGE I’VELEARNED TO ACHIEVE MORE OF THIS.....
  • ...AND LESS OF THIS!
