  2. 2. Everything you are about to see is made entirely of glass.
  3. 8. Every leaf, petal, flower, tendril or bird is sculpted in glass by using fire, various tools and a torch.

  6. 18. This method of glass making is know as flamework. The artist literally works the flame and glass to sculpt these pieces.
  7. 26. Each individual leaf, petal, tendril or bird consists of many different colored rods of glass formed together like a painter blends paints.

  9. 30. The pieces are carefully pieced together, adhering the parts with fire to form the complete design.
  10. 33. Everything remains hot and untouchable so that it does not break.
  11. 35. o Once the bouquet is complete or the design finished, then crystal on the end of a metal rod is turned to molten (1500 to 2500 F degrees) and placed over the delicate design.
  12. 38. Imagine honey on the edge of a spoon being poured into your tea. This is how the artist encases the work.
  13. 43. Now a solid piece of glass, it is shaped and placed into a kiln for 48 hours.
