Genetic Engineering And Cloning - Presentation Transcript

    1. Genetic Engineering and Cloning
    2. WHAT DOES GENETIC ENGINEERING MEAN?
      • A technology used to other the genetic material of living cells in order of producing new substance or performing new function, it used by scientists to change the DNA of living organism.
    3. WHAT IS THE DANGER OF GENETIC ENGINEERING?
      • Imprecise technology : a genetic engineer moves genes from one organism to other.
      • Side effect : genetic engineering is like performing heart surgery with shovel.
    4. WHAT DOES CLONING MEAN?
      • CLONING: is the creating of an organism that is an exact genetic copy of an o ther. This mean s that every single bit of DND is the same between the two.
      • HOW IS CLONING DONE:
      • Artificial Embryo Twining.
      • Somatic Cell Nuclear Transfer.
      • Somatic cell.
      • Nuclear.
      • Transfer.
    5. WHAT IS THE DANGER OF CLONING?
      • Scientists said cloning techniques are still too underdeveloped to attempt on human experience with animals has shown that most clone pregnancies fail, or result in offspring being delivered still born or deformed.
    6. QUESTION TO DISCUSS?
        • Does genetic engineering harm or benefit to human society?.
        • What are the danger of genetically engineered foods and is that benefit the world?.
        • How can cloning help or hurt farmers?.
        • Why would farmers, doctors and manufactures be interested in genetic engineering?.
        • Is genetic engineering the best solution?.
        • What is your personal opinion regarding genetic engineering and human cloning ?.
