    It is the Hurston’s depiction of the Biblical story of Jonah

  • 5. Published in 1938, Tell My Horse is a first-hand account of voodoo in Jamaica and Haiti.

  • 8. This is a collection of essays on Afro-American folklore, and myths of the Black Christian Church.
