HyProCure is a titanium stent that is inserted into the sinus tarsi space through a small incision to maintain alignment of the ankle bone on the hindfoot bones. It allows normal motion while redirecting the majority of forces through the bones, with only 3% acting on the stent. After tissue attachment over 4-6 weeks, there are generally no limitations, and it provides benefits by reducing pain from misaligned feet and encouraging physical activity.
2. What is HyProCure?
HyProCure is a titanium stent –
an internal fixation device.
www.HyProCure.com
3. What does it do?
It maintains the alignment of the ankle bone
(talus) on the hindfoot bones (calcaneus &
navicular) while allowing, as much as possible,
the normal amount of motion.
www.HyProCure.com
4. How does it do this?
There is a naturally occurring space (sinus tarsi)
located between the ankle bone (talus) and heel
bone (calcaneus).
www.HyProCure.com
5. Once the ankle bone is repositioned on the heel
bone, this re-opens the space.
www.HyProCure.com
6. A HyProCure stent is inserted into that space
(sinus tarsi) through a very small incision.
www.HyProCure.com
7. How does it stay there?
HyProCure is not drill into the bones, rather
there are soft tissues within the space that will
attach to HyProCure and hold it in place.
www.HyProCure.com
8. How much force is placed on it?
Actually, there is only a minimal force acting on
HyProCure.
It could probably be made of glass and it will should function and hold up to daily
demands.

9. www.HyProCure.com
Here’s why!
The forces acting on the ankle bone are
redirected to the heel bone and another bone in
front of the ankle bone called the navicular.
10. www.HyProCure.com
Here’s why!
Approximately, 97% of the forces travel through
the bones and only roughly 3% acts on the
HyProCure stent.
11. Are there any limitations after a foot
has been HyProCured?
Once the tissues have attached to HyProCure,
generally 4 to 6 weeks, and the tissues have
healed from the procedure, there should be no
limitations.
www.HyProCure.com
12. One very important fact!
Please make sure that both feet have been
HyProCured.
There are many people who have only had one
foot realigned and went back to sports without
having the other foot fixed.
www.HyProCure.com
13. Why is this bad?
It places a lot of strain on the HyProCured foot
and will most likely lead to soreness and pain.
Think about balancing the tires only on one side
of a car and not the other,

14. When placed into children’s feet, what
happen when they become an adult?
The most common adult sizes are 6 and 7 (80%)
then 5 & 8.
If a child already has the most common adult
size, than most likely it won’t have to be
replaced.

15. HyProCure Facts
HyProCure is backed by many scientific studies
that have provided the most positive findings of
any sinus tarsi stent.
HyProCure is stent of choice for foot surgeons
in more than 44 countries.

16. HyProCure Facts
There have been more than 36,000 HyProCure
stents placed into children and adults.
HyProCure has been used for more than 10
years having received FDA clearance in
September 2004.

17. What are the risks?
Actually, the benefits of HyProCure far exceed
any potential risks.
There is a slide presentation on the
Benefit – Risk Analysis of HyProCure.
www.HyProCure.com
18. What are the risks? (cont’d)
www.HyProCure.com
Bottom line
– Knee & hip joint replacements don’t have a 100%
success rate, neither does HyProCure.
– HOWEVER, HyProCure has a < 7% removal rate
verses any other device placed into this space
(38% to 100%).
19. What’s the worse that can happen?
It has to be removed and either a more
traditional procedure could still be performed or
in some cases the device was removed and the
correction was maintained.
