  3. 3. Forum objectives: <ul><li>ensuring technology transfer into medicine and pharmaceutical industry, </li></ul><ul><li>sharing best practices in medical research and investments, </li></ul><ul><li>developing strategic partnerships with foreign colleagues </li></ul>

Forum purposes : <ul><li>Promoting the North-West region of the Russian Federation and making it more appealing to investors </li></ul><ul><li>Ensuring international collaboration with foreign investment sites </li></ul><ul><li>Promoting extra investments to the pharmaceutical cluster of St. Petersburg, building partnerships with investment institutions, research and consulting companies, etc. </li></ul>

Forum purposes : <ul><li>Setting up a major forum for presenting investment projects in medical innovations in the North-West region of the Russian Federation </li></ul><ul><li>Expanding innovation potential of the North-West region of the Russian Federation </li></ul><ul><li>Assisting national and foreign developers and manufacturers of innovative drugs and devices </li></ul>

Participation of the following is anticipated: <ul><li>Public sector managers responsible for the development of pharmaceutical industry </li></ul><ul><li>Owners and top managers of international and foreign companies developing and manufacturing medications and medical devices as well as innovative healthcare products, of national and foreign banks and investment companies </li></ul><ul><li>Senior officers of national and foreign pharmaceutical corporations and associations </li></ul><ul><li>Business mass media representatives , both national and foreign </li></ul><ul><li>Business community members interested in collaboration with pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical companies </li></ul>Anticipated number of participants 300–400 persons.

Forum participation conditions: <ul><li>All registrations are to be made using our online registration form </li></ul><ul><li>Registration fee should be paid at least four weeks prior to the Forum (before October 20, 2011) . </li></ul><ul><li>Signing an agreement with the Forum organisers </li></ul><ul><li>In case of cancellation of participation before October 20 , 2011 registration fee will be returned with 35% of the fee deducted in administration expenses </li></ul><ul><li>No refunds can be made for cancellations received after October 20, 2011 </li></ul><ul><li>Notification of cancellation should be made to the steering committee in written signed by the head of the company and duly stamped </li></ul><ul><li>Replacement delegates are accepted in any time up to event </li></ul>Registration fee is 24 000 rubles ( 600 €)
  10. 10. Registration fee covers: <ul><li>Access to the partnering system (to make appointments for face to face meetings with other Forum participants) 1.5 months before the Forum begins. It is anticipated that the partnering system will be opened in August </li></ul><ul><li>Participation in the plenary session and presentations of pharmaceutical companies </li></ul><ul><li>Access to the Forum Forum materials (list of participants, Forum agenda, brief outlines of reports delivered by pharmaceutical companies and key participants, information booklet of a participant, list of investment projects, list of investors, etc) </li></ul><ul><li>Simultaneous interpreting at English-Russian and Russian-English sessions </li></ul><ul><li>Receptions in the evening </li></ul>

VIP-participants (sponsors) of the Forum are offered the following: Official registration at the Forum with access to all official events including the plenary session, press conferences and presentations Display area for the exhibition booth and free participation for two persons English-Russian simultaneous interpreting at all times at the Forum. A personal interpreter can be assigned if necessary Accommodation Hotel class depends on the contribution made by the Sponsor Transfer to and from the airport and Forum venue Personal business meetings with other Forum participants (optional)

  13. 13. Evening receptions <ul><li>A separate agenda is planned for evening receptions: </li></ul>The first one will take place in the evening before the formal opening session (on November 28, 2011) The other reception is planned in the evening of first day of Forum, November 29, 2011

Forum format <ul><li>The Forum agenda is set up based on the application forms received, suggestions made by members of the steering committee and the agenda is to be approved by the committee within two months of the Forum beginning. </li></ul><ul><li>The international Forum will hold an exhibition of booths prepared by sponsor companies. </li></ul>Time limits for breakout sessions: Presentations – up to 20 min. Discussion, questions – up to 10 min. Speeches – up to 30 min.

Forum financial support <ul><li>Sponsors’ contributions, organisers’ resources, participants’ registration fees and financial support provided by St. Petersburg City Administration are anticipated to be the main sources of finance for the Forum. </li></ul><ul><li>Steering committee of the Forum prepares a sponsorship package specifying a title partner, a title and an official sponsor of the Forum, as well as sponsors of separate event under the Forum. </li></ul>
