Coca-Cola: A Research Documentary <ul><li>KWHL chart—brainstorm (KWH) </li></ul><ul><li>Class Brainstorm </li></ul><ul><li>Pick an area to research </li></ul><ul><li>Create a who, what, when, where info article as a group…each person must have their own part… </li></ul><ul><li>Must have your own graphic organizer with research, final draft of your section, and time line or chart </li></ul>

Day 4 AMERICAN IDOL DAY! <ul><li>General class discussion: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>What types of advertising does Coca-cola use? </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Why does it work? </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>How do they use product placement in the programming? </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Why do advertisers rely on product placement? </li></ul></ul>

  14. 14. Day 7 <ul><li>Students will write a reflective journal entry about why they believe major corporations aim advertising at teenagers. </li></ul><ul><li>Share opinions in small groups, then with the class. </li></ul><ul><li>This could take 2 days; I sort of hope it does </li></ul>
