Transcript

  • 1. Racism In European Soccer By; Felicia Blackwell, Meghan Coyle, Melina Behnke, and Kyah Desimone
  • 2. Since the 1990s black soccer players reported racial abuse from some fellow teammates and local fans.
  • 3.
    • When it occurs it’s usually chanting or whistling.
  • 4.
    • After games and in other public places, people make remarks about players to the players themselves. Sometimes players are even attacked.
    • Support is needed form their fellow teammates and coaches because of the discrimination imposed on them.
  • 5. Players are on the verge of quitting because of it.
  • 6. Our Solution…..
  • 7.
    • We could try to find a way to contact the president of the Spanish Confederation and tell him the problem. Then he can try to get more security guards to patrol the different sections in the soccer stadiums.
  • 8.
    • If the guards catch people being racist one time they will give them a warning. If they’re caught a second time they cannot go to another game.
  • 9. We could also try to get celebrities in Europe and the U.S. to try to bring awareness by telling people during the break of their shows about the problem.
  • 10.
    • They could also make commercials telling people about the problem.
  • 11.
    • Lets all try to help raise awareness to try to stop racism in the soccer stadiums!
