The bridge is named after him </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><li>Conflict within France prevented settlement during the 1500s </li></ul><ul><ul><li>France was involved in other European wars </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Internally, there was conflict between French Catholics and Protestants </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>We didn’t talk about where Protestantism comes from yet…we will. </li></ul></ul></ul>
