  • Hello, my name is Andrew. My family and I visit Mazatlan often and own a home there. We can’t be there all the time, though, and thought others might enjoy the chance to experience living in a “real” Mazatlan neighborhood. If you’re interested in just such an experience, we may have a good option for you.
  • 814 CalleCipres, is a 3-bedroom, one and one-half bath home in Colonia Estadio (that’s Stadium neighborhood for you non-Spanish speakers). The Estadio neighborhood is located about a mile from Valetino’s, the beginning of the Golden Zone.
  • Within the Estadio neighborhood, 814 Cipres is located about two blocks away from the TeodoroMariscal baseball stadium, home of the Venados de Mazatlan, a professional baseball team in the Mexican Pacific League.
  • I have family in Mazatlan and some of them live in, or around, the Estadio neighborhood. This neighborhood is well established and home to middle-income families, many of whom have lived here 20 or more years.
  • We bought Casa Cipres in December 2005 as a vacation home. We spend as much time there as we can, but since we can’t be there all the time, we thought others might enjoy an opportunity to live in the “real” Mazatlan. The home needed several improvements, so we contracted for a major remodel including everything listed here.
  • The front patio has a carport large enough for almost any sized car or truck and has a locking gate.

  • The combined dining/living area features a dining table purchased in the nearby town of Mesillas, known for its excellent furniture craftsmen. The dining table seats six comfortably.
  • There is an entertainment center in the living room with a stereo (CD/cassette/am-fm), color TV, and DVD player. Local cable access is available, although you should know that most of the channels are in Spanish.
  • The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker (and coffee grinder, for those who like to grind their own), dishware, pots, pans, and just about everything else you’d need.
  • The guest bedroom come with a queen bed, dresser and night stands. There is a mini-split air-conditioner in the room with a remote control for adjusting room temperature. There is a ceiling fan as well.
  • The 3rd bedroom has four bunk beds. There is a small television with a DVD player in the room and, like all bedrooms, a mini-split air conditioner and ceiling fan.
  • The master bedroom has a queen size bed, dresser with am/fm clock radio, a make-up mirror, and a private bath. The back door to this bedroom gives access to the service area and back patio.
  • The service area has a washer and dryer for your convenience.
  • The back patio features a charcoal grill, aluminum sink with running water, and a cementice sink for chilling drinks.
  • The water system is pressurized for constant water pressure throughout the house. We have Cable TV and Internet access, as well as weekly maid service with options for more frequent service if required at additional cost. All bedrooms and the living room/dining area are individually air-conditioned and have ceiling fans. The house is furnished with everything you need for your stay.
  • Casa Cipres rents for $250.00 US Dollars per week or $800.00 per month. We can accept credit card payments via PayPal or make other arrangements to suit your needs. Call me, Andrew Paez, at US telephone number 951-572-2339 , or email me at therealmazatlan@gmail.com for booking or more information. If I don’t answer, please leave a message and I will call you back today. Don’t be afraid to call, I’m glad to answer any questions you have.
