    • Digital art is used extensively by advertisers in media and has also gained a growing acceptance in other artistic genres like painting and illustration.

  • Disadvantages
    • Some people think that if art is not created using traditional tools then it can not be considered as true art.
    • There is no real hard copy. Digital art is primarily for printing and websites.
    • Digital art is often stockpiled and reused many times for different projects. This creates less work for artists.
  • Questions
    • Do you think that digital art should be considered as true art? Explain why or why not?
    • Does the fact that digital art provides no tangible original work and relies mainly on reproductions take away some of its artistic merit?
    • Do you think that digital art lacks an emotional connection with its creator because there is no hands on involvement?
    • Since digital art has already become a dominant art form in the commercial world, do you think that digital art will one day be the main sorce of all art genres?
