INTRODUCTION TO OB/GYN ULTRASOUND AGENDA
Our overall goal is to teach basic ultrasound scanning technique to physicians and other medical professionals for point
of care, in-office treatment. It is our goal to provide information needed to evaluate and document anatomy by using
ultrasound as an important diagnostic tool.
Understand basic ultrasound physics to properly acquire images of diagnostic quality.
Gain a working knowledge of ultrasound instrumentation.
Be able to recognize and evaluate normal pelvic and obstetric anatomy.
Understand standard ultrasound exam protocol for both pelvic and obstetric exams.
Be able to recognize and evaluate pathologic conditions of the female pelvis and understand basic obstetric
Understand the scanning technique involved in image acquisition of both normal and abnormal exams.
Understand scanning pitfalls and how to avoid them.

A certificate for 15 AMA PRA Category 1Credits will be issued at the conclusion of the course.
