  • 2. Tyrannosaurus Rex
    • Meat eater - carnivore
    • 20 feet tall
    • 53 feet long
    • Nickname is tyrant lizard king
    • The first fossils found in 1902

  • 3. Brachiosaurus
    • Largest known dinosaur
    • Had nostrils on top of head
    • Weighs about 50 tons
    • Lived over 150 million years ago in Jurassic Period
    • Too fat to run from enemies, often found in the water

  • 4. Stegosaurus
    • Stegosaurus was a slow mover and ate only plants.
    • The Stegosaurus was 8 feet tall.
    • The Stegosaurus’s brain was the size of a walnut.
    • The first Stegosaurus fossil was found in Colorado.
    • Stegosaurus was named in 1877.
