  1. 1. Year of the Chief Coffee Table BookAs you know, we are celebrating the "Year of the Chief" from now until March 30, 2013, thanks to NavyMemorial. This nationwide spotlight honors all Chief Petty Officers who have served, past and present.Already the YOTC program has garnered more response than any other such program held at the NavyMemorial.To continue this Navy-wide celebration, Navy Memorial is creating a "Year of the Chief" coffee table book.This book will showcase photographs of Chiefs throughout our 119-year history, and you can help in thedesign by submitting photographs with caption information.Photographs of CPOs are needed in the following categories: • Historical black-and-white • Present day (B&W or Color) • Funny (but printable) caption • Community relations • CPO Mess group photos • Family photos (Chief must be in uniform)Since Chiefs can be competitive, there will be prizes for the best photographs in each category. Winners willbe determined by the YOTC book committee. Winning photographs will get special recognition in the book, onthe YOTC Website and receive a plaque.Photograph and caption submissions are due by July 15, 2012, to Navy Memorial.
