  • 1. NPC FORCM WEEKLY 1-5 April 2013Career progression, community management, personnel matters, and general information from the desk of the Navy Personnel Command Force Master Chief, FORCM(SW/AW/EXW) Leland E. Moore NWU UPDATE NAVADMIN 084/13 announced changes to the Type I NWU. Major changes address authorized footwear, aiguillettes, authorized off-base wear and the wear of ball caps. Read the NAVADMIN and watch the instructional video at http://www.navy.mil/VIDEO_PLAYER.ASP?ID=18243 for more information on the proper wear of NWU’s. Questions can be directed to Mr. Robert B. Carroll, robert.b.carroll@navy.mil, CMDCM(SW/AW) Martha Kastler, martha.kastler@navy.mil or PS1(SW) Andrew Lucio, andrew.lucio@navy.mil. RECRUIT DIVISION COMMANDERS NEEDED NAVADMIN 085/13 solicits Sailors to apply for RDC duty at RTC. Per MILPERSMAN 1306-954, Applicants must be warfare-qualified, however, waivers may be granted on case-by-case basis. Sailors must have scored "good low" or higher in each category on the most recent PFA. The RDC candidate must be able to perform and pass the run portion of the PRT before the screening is submitted to NPC. Waiver of the run portion of the PRT is not allowed. Additional guidelines can be found in MILPERSMAN 1306-954. Sailors who are interested and meet qualifications can contact YNC(SW/AW) Lakeshia Patterson (901) 874-3878 (DSN 882) or HM1(FMF) Joshua McCullough (901) 874-3855 (DSN 882). This is a great opportunity for hard-charging Sailors to help form and develop the next generation of Sailors! COMMAND CLIMATE SURVEYS UPDATE The DEOMI Command Climate survey system has been restored and is available for commands to use while conducting command climate surveys. As a reminder, all commanding officers are required to conduct a command climate survey 90 days after assuming command, with annual surveys during their tenure as commanding officer. Since the system was down, the following accommodations have been made, if your commands annual survey was due between 1 October 2012 - 31 March 2013, conduct your survey before 30 June 2013; if your commands annual survey was due after 1 April 2013 complete the survey before 30 September 2013. Read NAVADMIN 079/13 for more information and ensure your command is in compliance! KEEP WHAT YOU’VE EARNED CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED The KWYE campaign seeks to encourage responsible drinking among Sailors by celebrating the achievements in their Navy careers. Through recognition of their hard work and dedication, from boot camp to advancement exams, job training and deployments Sailors are reminded of their accomplishments—and how much they have to lose if they make poor choices regarding alcohol. Remind your Shipmates to keep what they have earned, and to never leave a Shipmate behind. More information can be found at http://www.public.navy.mil/bupers-npc/support/nadap/campaign_events/drinkresponsibly/Pages/defaul t.aspx.
