  3. 3. The Unlucky # 13 <ul><li>The birth of the number thirteen as an unlucky number has been thought to have started in Viking culture with their gods. </li></ul>
  4. 4. The Unlucky God <ul><li>The Gods were having a dinner party in Valhalla, place where the gods dwell. </li></ul><ul><li>Twelve gods in all attended. </li></ul><ul><li>A thirteenth arrived named Loki </li></ul>
  5. 5. Tragedy <ul><li>Loki tricks the god Hoder to shoot an arrow at Balder </li></ul><ul><li>Balder, god of light and joy, dies </li></ul><ul><li>Since then, the Vikings marked the number 13 as an unlucky number </li></ul>

  11. 11. The Templar Knights <ul><li>Recently depicted in the Davinci Code, the Templar knights were said to be arrested and killed on October 13 th , it was a Friday… </li></ul>
  12. 12. In Conclusion <ul><li>Friday the 13 th has long been speculated as a dark and ominous day. Whether or not there is any truth behind it, none of us really know for sure… </li></ul>
