BW0864786 - Presentation Transcript

  1.
  2. Mic’d Up™ is a technological concept much like the new advancement already taking place in the National Football League. That is, having specific athletes use helmets with built-in earpieces and microphones to help the advancement of the sport. Communication is the key attribute to a successful sports franchise, and Mic’d Up™ will allow players to speak, from a distance, with coaches and affiliates hands-free. This will enable quick and “on the fly” strategizing, allowing a faster, more intense hockey experience for both fans, and players. No longer will an unnecessary time-out be called during the most exciting part of a game, with Mic’d Up, the action can remain constant and continuous.

  4. The usefulness of Mic’d Up is unparalleled. Whether it be for strategy or for safety, Mic’d up is an absolute improvement to the game of hockey. The main purpose is to ensure a reliable flow of communication between the bench and the on-ice player. For instance, if a penalty is called and a face-off is about to ensue, the Mic’d Up player will be able to communicate with his coach without having to delay time skating to the bench, or having to cause a time-out called (which is only allowed once per game). This will also ensure a consistent up tempo game style, which will help boost both attendance to games, and international ratings.

  6. Safety in the NHL has been a cause for concern recently due to the number of critical injuries some players have been enduring. One of the most feared injuries is from being checked from behind, the Mic’d Up campaign believes they can help in the safety aspect of the game. Coaches can increase the awareness of the players on the ice by simply warning Mic’d players of the opposing team’s positioning. If the player is more alert of his surroundings, many injuries could be avoided. Whether they be major or minor; if one player can be helped by this product, then it’s a success.
