    10. But what is an iPod?
      • iPods are Apple’s super popular portable digital media player. (DMP)
      • With over one hundred million sales worldwide, they have become the most popular digital media player ever.
    11. History
      • iPods were designed by Apple to create a niche in the digital media player market.
      • The first iPods were launched in October 2001. They held 5 gigabytes and could only run on Mac OS.
      • The First (1G) iPod
    12. History continued
      • Apple have continuously released new iPod models.
      • There have been SIX generations of the standard iPod, three of the iPod nano and two of the iPod shuffle.
    13. Even More History
      • Not including the iPod mini, and the iPod touch.
      • The iPod mini, now obsolete, succeeded by the iPod nano
    14. The Present
      • The current range of iPods include the iPod classic (160 Gigabytes)
      • The iPod nano (tiny, but plays video)
      • And the most advanced, the iPod touch will be continued on the next slide.

      • The iPod touch, named for its touch screen is Apple’s most advanced piece of hardware.
      • It has a touch screen, Wi-Fi for purchasing songs on the go, and right now, its pretty damn cool.
    16. The future?
      • There is HARDLY a present with iPods.
      • New Models are constantly being released
      • Soon, even the iPod touch will be outdated
    17. Future-tastic
      • Don’t be surprised to see iPods with upwards of a TERABYTE (1024 gigabytes) of space, larger screens, and more features
      • All will have Wi-fi,
      • Games normally
      • Desinged for consoles
    18. But why?
      • Apple now Dominates the DMP market.
      • People will keep buying iPods, and new models will constantly be released
      • It’s simply the way of the consumer index.
