  10. 10. But what is an iPod? <ul><li>iPods are Apple’s super popular portable digital media player. (DMP) </li></ul><ul><li>With over one hundred million sales worldwide, they have become the most popular digital media player ever. </li></ul>
  11. 11. History <ul><li>iPods were designed by Apple to create a niche in the digital media player market. </li></ul><ul><li>The first iPods were launched in October 2001. They held 5 gigabytes and could only run on Mac OS. </li></ul><ul><li>The First (1G) iPod </li></ul>
  12. 12. History continued <ul><li>Apple have continuously released new iPod models. </li></ul><ul><li>There have been SIX generations of the standard iPod, three of the iPod nano and two of the iPod shuffle. </li></ul>
  13. 13. Even More History <ul><li>Not including the iPod mini, and the iPod touch. </li></ul><ul><li>The iPod mini, now obsolete, succeeded by the iPod nano </li></ul>

  17. 17. Future-tastic <ul><li>Don’t be surprised to see iPods with upwards of a TERABYTE (1024 gigabytes) of space, larger screens, and more features </li></ul><ul><li>All will have Wi-fi, </li></ul><ul><li>Games normally </li></ul><ul><li>Desinged for consoles </li></ul>
