    • Robots are mechanical creations used to help perform specific tasks for humans. A robot can be defined as a programmable, self-controlled device.
    What are robots?
  • 4. What do robots do? Robots are man-made machines which perform specific tasks they have been designed for. The tasks they perform can vary and have no limit.

    • Robots are used to perform certain tasks they have been specifically created for. Robots are also used as toys for younger children.
    What are robots used for?

    • Robots benefit our society in various ways. They assist people in working areas, (e.g. Hard labour, Work force, etc.)
    What effects do robots have on society? Yet many peoples personal views on robots vary from the common stereotype of robots. (Over intelligent and possibly world dominating.)

Future Predictions of Robots 2009 - In just three years, 4.5 million household robots have been sold. 2010 - Robots that can perform surgery and life threatning tasks have been created. 2025 – Robot assistants and robot pets are now very common amoung households. 2040 – All households now own a robot of some sort.

    • The first robot created in 1738 was a mechanical duck that was able to eat and digest grain, flap its wings, and excrete.
    The History of Robots Since that creation robots have been improving everyday and are becoming more useful to modern life.

    • Robots in the future will benefit the world in unimaginable ways. They will be able to perform possible life-threatening jobs, become a personal assistant and much more. Robots have an unlimited range of what they can achieve.
