    • A relation where no x’s repeat.
    • Can be a graph, equation, table.
  • 3. Function Notation
    • y =2 x -5
    • f ( x )=2 x- 5

    • f ( x ) is y
  • 4. Function Notation
    • y =2 x -5 for x = -2
    • f (-2)=2 x -5

  • 5. Rules from Tables
    • Use guess and check.
    • What do you have to do to the x to get the y?

    • Try adding or subtracting something to/from the x.
