Maya Paveza has been involved in social media since she got her Hayes 300 Baud modem in 1980 and discovered Bulletin Board Systems. She met her first friend “f2f” from the online world in 1983 and has continued to be active in “social spaces” as they have evolved to what they are today, and what they will be tomorrow. With an inherent understanding of how human interactions work in the online world she wants to help real estate professionals, and others, understand the “whys” and “hows” so they can be successful in building relationships, networks and interactions online.

The tools are only part of the power, understanding how best to utilize each is far more important and lends to a better online experience. Maya helps her clients identify their reason for being in the social spaces, and often speaks at events about understanding the consumer expectations and translating that to a business’s purpose to result in brand protection and increased reputation. Maya is the social media curator for RAW: RealEstateandWomen.net, an emerging real estate resource center; she is also working with Chris Brogan and Human Business Works on a real estate education and community website called The Hip Roof. There is a lot more to come from Maya in 2011.
