    • This course is for students:
    • Who have a passion and enjoyment for Visual Arts
    • Who are highly able art students
    • W ho want to expand their appreciation of the role of Visual Arts in our society

    • This course is designed to develop your:
    • Creativity
    • Increasing autonomy in practical and theoretical understanding, knowledge and skills
    • Initiative in undertaking academic work
    • A bility to work independently and collaboratively
    • A ppreciation of Visual Arts and contemporary art practice

    • Develop a deeper understanding of the content
    • – subject matter, forms and frames – of the Visual
    • Arts through experience in each of the practices of:
    • Art Making Studies
    • Art Critical Studies
    • Art Historical Studies
    This course allows you to:
  • 5. Year 11 and 12 Visual Arts aims to:
      • Enrich your understanding of the Visual Arts in contemporary and past worlds;
      • Develop your art making skills and representation of ideas and images with different materials, techniques and processes;
      • Challenge you approach to work in order to develop your creativity, technical skills, concepts, communication and presentation skills;
      • Develop an informed point of view about art and understand how artworks are made, valued, interpreted and used; and
      • Excite your imagination and your expectation of yourself
