  • 2.  To familiarize students with the library facility, resources and services,  To acquaint students with online searching techniques,  To introduce students to various online resources – bibliographic databases, link-outs, open access articles, etc.
  • 3.  Locate resources and services within the library.  Know where to go for assistance from the library staff.  Connect to UP Manila network (UPMnet), search the online catalog, other web-based resources  Know what resources are available in the library & other UP libraries  Understand the basics of database searching techniques

  • 10. Online Public Access Catalogs (OPACs) Use the web-based OPAC, ilib.upm.edu.ph to search for available titles (books/journals, theses, etc) in the CPH Library and other UP Libraries

  • 12. Faculty Reading Area Area designated for the College of Public Health faculty members.
  • 13. Loaning Desk Student, faculty & staff who wants to borrow books for overnight use (reserve books) and for one-week (circulation books) has to register, fill-up book cards, check-in/check-out loaned materials here.

  • 16. Reserve Book Collection Books in the Reserve section are for overnight loans only. They are usually new/recently acquired titles. Fine of Php50.00 for 1-day overdue, etc.
  • 17. Circulation Books Books in this section can be borrowed for one (1) week. Fine of Php2.00 for 1 day overdue
  • 18. New (Recent) Journal Issues Foreign journals (complimentary & subscribed), WHO publications, local (Filipiniana), CPH publications, etc. For Room use only.
  • 19. Filipiniana (local publications) Titles are usually on researches/studies or books about the Philippines, usually but not necessarily authored by Filipinos
  • 20. Theses & Dissertations Undergraduate Term reports, Master’s theses & field practice reports, Doctoral dissertations. Strictly for Room use only.

  • 30. 1. Send email to: lib-vpn@post.upm.edu.ph with “Request for VPN Access” as subject using your official UPM or UP email account (name@post.upm.edu.ph) or (name@up.edu.ph) 2. Configuration and installation instructions will be sent thru provided email account 3. User_login_name and password will be sent to mobile number provided. 4. Files needed in the installation can be downloaded only if you are in a network outside UP Manila. The URL address will be included in the instruction provided to applicants. User_login_name and password is required when downloading the files. Applicants may opt to personally request the files (configuration & installation instructions) from the University Library after they’ve sent their application for VPN Access (look for Ed Bon or Bernard Lapuz at the Main Library.
