What isWhat is STRATEGICSTRATEGIC about thisabout this partnership with DSWD?partnership with DSWD? • CCT – Conditional Cash Transfer – program has a track record (international and local) of being an effective poverty reduction program intervention • Current government’s commitment and integrity makes it a timely program – partnership with Civil society has been built-in from the beginning. – Flagship program of PNoy Administration along with Anti- corruption • Involves 5.2 million targeted households belonging to the poorest of the poor. PCEC’s commitment is to assist with 1 Million household • It covers most provinces in 17 regions nationwide.

What isWhat is DYNAMICDYNAMIC about thisabout this partnership with local churches?partnership with local churches? • Seeks to create awareness / advocate to 100% of PCEC’s member churches • Plans to elicit the active participation of most of PCEC member churches ( at least 80%) through: – Prayer and awareness raising – Resource generation – Member mobilization • Desires to assist and equip local churches to deploy at least 50,000 community volunteers nationwide

The Role of aThe Role of a Community Leader (CL)Community Leader (CL) • Assists the PLs in implementing Family Development Seminars (FDS) • Assists the PLs in monitoring the compliance of 30 HH with respect to the conditions set by the Pantawid Pamilya program • Counsels Parents and Children • Seeks assistance from iHELP Partners • Commits to being part of an iHELP Circle • Appointed by a Local Church • Accountable to the Local Church through the designated CLC

The Role of a CommunityThe Role of a Community Leaders’ Coordinator (CLC)Leaders’ Coordinator (CLC) • Monitors 125 HH through the 5 CLs • Provides pastoral care and support to the 5 CLs and iHP through the iHELP Circle • Generates awareness and advocacy about iHELP Philippines in the Local church level • Generates resources for operations • Recruits CLs and iHP, and conducts basic orientation • May serve as Resource person during Family Development Seminars • Appointed by & accountable to a Local Church

Mobilization and MonitoringMobilization and Monitoring • strategically deploys a minimum of 50,000 Community Leaders (CLs) in predetermined areas to cover 17 regions; • and developing a feedback mechanism to ensure that: – The CLs are able to accomplish the program objectives – The capacity building program was effective in equipping the CLs – iHELP Circles are functional – Immediate, relevant and sustained prayer can be incorporated in the program – Significant changes can be attended to where it matter most

Resource GenerationResource Generation • Creating opportunities for individuals, various groups and local churches to actively engage in community transformation by sharing their resources; • Develops a system of starting and sustaining fundraising initiatives together with an efficient collection and accounting procedure.
