    RESS is 'Responsive Web Design plus Server Side components'.

    Responsive web design is great for resolving visual aspects of our layouts - making sure the layouts can adapt to different devices. However, responsive, on it's own, is not ideal for other aspects such as delivering an experience that is optimised for each device. This is where 'server side' comes in. With a combination of 'responsive plus server' side you have a great combination.
