1. What I have chosen to include in my digipak and booklet design , and how it relates to my
audience:
Chosen font styles: I am choosing to use bold style for all my text included, because I feel that it
stands out much more clearly than bland normal text. For example if someone looks through a shop
window at a shelf stacked with CD packs and digipaks, mine will stand out because the boldness of
the text will immediately make it easier for the that person to see.
Chosen colours: I am choosing to use warm colours including red, orange and yellow throughout my
digipak and booklet design because firstly they give off a good vibe (positive feeling) to people who
look at the design not to mention the fact that it makes my digipak stand out more from other
digipaks that use the original, standard black and white styled colour schemes which is just boring
and bland.
My second reason for choosing a warm colour scheme is because it works well with the photos I plan
on using for the digipak and booklet design. These photos are shots of a sunny fields and clear blue-
sky which in my opinion would work well with a warm coloured scheme for the fonts.
Chosen song lyrics to include in digipak design: I have chosen the song “The Safety Dance” to
include in my digipak booklet because it has been the biggest hit song the band has ever made, so it
makes sense to have lyrics for the most well-known and favoured song amongst fans in the digipak.
It is also the song that I chose to make a music video for.
Interview: I have chosen to include a band interview in the digipak booklet. I feel that this is a good
idea because a large number of the people who will be buying the digipak will be fans of the band
and will definitely appreciate an interview which reveals information they may not have known
about the band.
The chosen layout for my digipak and booklet (how things will be arranged in the booklet)
Digipak:
Front cover:
• Album name (on front cover for digipak). This will be in a large, bold font so that it
easily stands out to people who see it on a store shelf. To aid this even more I will
use bright colours that help it to stand out even more to the audience.
• Artist/ band name (on the front of the digipak cover). This will be similar in font size
and boldness along with colour to the “album name” so its stands out alongside the
album title.
Back cover:
• In bold colourful letters will be the word “content” followed by a list of the songs
included in the CD. They would be written in the order that they appear on the CD.

Booklet:
Page one: page one will be the booklet cover for the booklet. It will have in bold red letters (booklet)
followed by “men without hat’s” in a slightly smaller font.
Page two, three and four: These pages will consist of lyrics for the starring song of the digipak (The
Safety Dance).
We can dance if we want to
We can leave your friends behind
Cause your friends don't dance
And if they don't dance
Well they're no friends of mine.
I say, we can go where we want to
A place where they'll never find
And we can act like we come from out of this world
Leave the real one far behind
We can dance (Come see! )
We can go where we want to
The night is young and so am I
And we can dress real neat
From our hands to our feet
And surprise'em with a victory cry
3. I say, we can act if we want to
If we don't nobody will
And you can act real rude
And totally removed
And I can act like an imbecile
I say, we can dance, we can dance
Everything is out of control
We can dance, we can dance
We're doing it from wall to wall
We can dance, we can dance
Everybody look at your hands
We can dance, we can dance
Everybody's taking the chance.
Safety dance
We'll safety dance
Yes, the safety dance
We can dance if we want to
We've got all your life and mine
As long as we abuse it
Never gonna lose it
Everything will work out right.
I say, We can dance if we want to
We can leave your friends behind
Cause your friends don't dance
And if they don't dance
Well they're no friends of mine.
I say, we can dance, we can dance
Everything is out of control
We can dance, we can dance
We're doing it from wall to wall
We can dance, we can dance
Everybody look at your hands
We can dance, we can dance
Everybody's taking the chance.
