Sustainable Materials Recovery Program (SMRP) <ul><li>Created through Green Communities Act </li></ul><ul><li>DEP regulations (310 CMR 19.300) </li></ul><ul><li>Six municipal waste combustors qualified to earn Renewable Energy Credits </li></ul><ul><li>50% of RECs revenue goes to “DEP approved recycling programs”. </li></ul><ul><li>Four categories of assistance </li></ul>
