  • 1. Let us take you through our adventures in 2011!
  • 2. It was a big birthday for Dad thisyear. He got an electric guitar as apresent and we through him a bigparty. Tommy made a greatspeech for the toast.
  • 3. Spinning the bull at the Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan issupposed to bring you luck...and make you feel dizzy!
  • 4. At the cathedral in Milan, the Duomo di Milano, youcan go on the roof to sunbathe! – but not in January!
  • 5. Up on the roof.
  • 6. In March we went zto the Punjab in Inida. This is uswith Nana and Grandpa and Nan‘s brother Jagjit andhis family, his wife Amarjit and children
  • 7. We visited the Golden Temple – the holiest Sikhtemple.
  • 8. Here we are on the roof of the house in whichGrandpa grew up.
  • 9. Walking with Grandpa in the fieldsnear his house. In the farmyard where the animals are kept.
  • 10. Chewing sugar cane from Grandpa‘s farm.
  • 11. In the Rock Garden in The garden was created by Nek Chand,Chandigargh. who made it by collecting discarded items and using them for decoration. He worked in secret for eighteen years before it was discovered. Now everyone can enjoy his creations.
  • 12. The lake at Chandigargh.The car that would takeus on our missions.
  • 13. Shimla at nightfall –foothills of the Himalayas
  • 14. Monkeys and children at Chail
  • 15. It was great to get home and play with our toys.
  • 16. Then in April we touched down in Devon for ashort while.
  • 17. ...before we materialised in London,to visit an exhibition that was out ofthis world.
  • 18. In June Lauren ran a stall at the International Festival atschool. She raised money for the Akanksha Foundation whichprovides an education for children from the slums in Mumbai.
  • 19. She raised over one thousand Swiss Francs!
  • 20. In July we went to Majorca
  • 21. ...and had some time to unwind
  • 22. Sun, sea and...fish!
  • 23. Tommy and Julian – climbing,shooting, bridge-crossing,cycling, igloo building, car-racing,guitar-playing...Scouting
  • 24. In September Auntie Jindy married Oscar inAsturias, Spain
  • 25. Grandpa tied turbans on the grandsons so we‘dbe dressed as Sikhs.
  • 26. All the grown-ups.
  • 27. ...all the grandchildren.
  • 28. Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy 2012!
