  • Incredible stats even if they are marginally incorrect. Support a great idea with hardwork and dedication and success should come although there are still a lot of other factors which come into play

  • There are many ways to innovate and start a new business. Innovating based on new technical or non-technical knowledge, is the most risky, most uncertain path. I hope these needlessly narrow statistics don't discourage potential entrepreneurs from choosing one of the many other ways to innovate. Instead of being put off or discouraged, why not read Peter Drucker's 'Innovation and Entrepeneurship', section 1 or Paul Hawken's 'Growing a Business', chapter 4?
