  • These thorny menaces blanket the entire island, especially roadsides, where they lie waiting to puncture your tires
  • But it’s worth the risk to drive to the beaches. At Zoni Beach, for instance ...
  • … we lounged under a natural umbrella and savored the view
  • Everything curves

  • On the last day, we sailed to Culebrita on Captain Bill’s trimaran
  • I didn’t know seawater could be so clear
  • Every day of our stay was windy, but on the morning of our flight out, the bay turned glassy calm.
