  6. 6. How Does It Work?• Reading teams are made up of students from Grades 6-12• Each Team has 2 advisors
  7. 7. When will teams meet?• Teams will meet 2 times per week on Saturdays and Wednesdays – From: 9:15-9:35• On these days, you will have an extended break after lunch instead of advisory• The Book Bowl will last for 6 weeks – From Nov. 7 – Dec. 22
  8. 8. • You choose which books you want to read• But teams must read all the books so you can answer the questions in the competition• You can earn extra points by creating Projects• Winning teams win a Pizza & Bowling Trip

Team Strategy• During your 1st meeting today, decide: – A Team name – Who will read each book (this is important!) – Choose books that interest you and are at your reading level – Brainstorm ways to remember the plot, characters and setting of the books – Create a Timeline for reading the books – Make some Creative Projects to earn points
