5. 5. SMART Exchange: Download and manipulate thousands of teacher created standards-based lessons from all over the world.
SMART Lessons: Enhance lessons with hundreds of interactive lesson activities correlated to curriculum standards.
SMART Resources: Access images, multimedia, interactive manipulatives and Adobe Flash content via SMART Notebook software.
Other SMART Technology Features:
6. 6. Expensive… approximately $4K installed.
Prices vary depending of bulk of purchase.
Drawback of the SMART interactive whiteboard:
7. 7. is updated online frequently giving you the latest interactive manipulatives and lessons to use with your class.
AND
offers a remote response systems as well. A class set allows students to answer questions and take tests using remotes. The feedback and results are instantaneous, therefore, provides educators the ability to adjust plans and help meet student needs more efficiently!
SMART software…
8. 8. "As with all technology, it's how it's used, not the technology itself, that will ultimately determine its value for teaching and learning.“ - anonymous
Use and practice is key for SMART technology to be beneficial in the classroom setting!
9. 9. “Fortunately, I use my SMART interactive whiteboard with my class each day with every subject. IT IS AWESOME!” - Martha Miller
My school district equips each classroom with SMART whiteboard interactive boards and has a technology plan in place to keep us up to date in years to come.
My district provides training on how to use this technology effectively in the classroom and plans to have lessons for all curriculum areas in the fall of 2010.
SMART also offers a number of convenient ways to access customer support and are extremely helpful.
