  • Host institutions are essential for the success of the EducationUSA network. We have centers in the locations that make the most sense for a region or country. Over 500 EducationUSA advisers are located in hundreds of centersin 170 countries.
  • We assist millions prospective international students each year, both in person and virtually. In fact, in 2011, over 18 million students & parents were connected with EducationUSA in some way. Group sessions and Pre-Departure Orientation programs are offered free of charge at all centers.
  • Our website – THE key to accessing information for your use.Higher education reps can contact Advisers directly with questions, or can visit our website and use their higher education log-in to access information.
  • Submit Financial Aid and Campus News to our Weekly Update which is distributed weekly to over 400 EdUSA advising centers in 170 countries. These centers will, in turn, post your submission in various newsletters, websites, social media channels, email groups, advising sessions, radio/tv/print announcements, and more! Also, your information will be included in the new EducationUSA Financial Aid Search Engine and Website RSS Feeds.
  • Our growth at EducationUSA in the years to come will be through broadening our outreach particularly through social media platforms like our EdUSA Connects sessions. These web meetings help international students through the 5 Steps to Study in the US. They are recorded on our site (viewed) are also podcasted on iTunes (downloaded 96K, viewed 188K). Through this new platform, we will exponentially be expanding the number of students with whom we can share the value of studying in the US, and show them paths toward making their dreams a reality.
  • Adviser Professional Development is an EducationUSA priority. Redesign of professional development program began last year in order to have competency based training curriculum for Advisers. Our goal is to have better trained Advisers who will better support to students & U.S. institutions.

  • What Your Colleagues Say…• As a 1.5-person recruiting and admissions office, [EducationUSA resources] are extremely helpful to me in many small ways. We constantly refer students to the offices in their home countries for assistance … We feel connected to and supported by a great community of professionals around the world who are willing to help us in the goal of internationalizing our campus. – Cindy Blount Domingo, Messiah College• Our network of professional colleagues is robust and remarkably helpful as a result of our ongoing relationship with EducationUSA advisers and [regional educational] advising coordinators. Often our first email or phone call when faced with a vacuum of information about a particular country or region is to one of our EducationUSA colleagues. – Jacqueline Girard Vogl, SUNY-Plattsburgh• I have met scores of advisers from around the world over many years. They have become friends and trusted colleagues. I feel very comfortable calling on them whenever I have doubts and in referring students to them. They have helped with verifying information about institutions, understanding transcripts, even contacting embassy officials on my behalf. Wonderful people! – Rick Lane, Emory University EducationUSA.state.gov
  • What Your Colleagues Say…• EducationUSA is a reliable source of information and resources. We are confident in their abilities to provide accurate information to institutions and to prospective students. – Judith Pennywell, Purdue University Calumet• Our International Admissions team reaches out to EducationUSA advisers at least once a week – usually for clarification of foreign academic credentials. The advisers can always be counted upon for timely and helpful answers. They make our jobs so much easier! – Julie Soper, University of Nebraska at Omaha• I continued to be impressed by the growth of EducationUSA and the caliber of so many of your staff. The REACs and advisers that we have been in contact with have been extremely helpful and we are grateful for their assistance. – Heather Augar, Fairleigh Dickinson University EducationUSA.state.gov
