  • 1. MY BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY
  • 2. POPULATION This blog is addressed to 5th grade students of elementary school located in Medellin city
  • 3. ENVIRONMENT This blog will contain basic vocabulary for describing places, taking into account the MEN guía, 22 set standards for fifth grade “básico 1 (A 2.1)”.
  • 4. METHODOLOGY Students will receive instructions about My Beautiful Country Project development. Second, students will find in this blog games, plays, puzzles, power point presentations and videos related to vocabulary for describing places. Third, students will find video materials, reading materials, web questions, and audio materials that help students recognize different ways for describing places, regions, and cities as resources for building their powerpoint presentation. Four, students will send their slides to receive some recommendations, and finally students will present their power point

STRATEGY My beautiful country project is task-based instruction strategies, where students will build slides with a region picture, a famous place picture of that region, a famous person picture of that region and a city picture of that region. Every slide will contend a basic description (name of it, where is it? How is it? And who is the famous person?).

  • 7. TOPIC The topic of this blog will be “My Beautiful Country”. Language function: Description of places. Purpose: Students learn the vocabulary to talk about places, while collet information for their project.
