Pick two presentations from the K12 Online Conference to present/ lead a discuss in class. Hopefully a session that inspired you. Subscribe to the conference using RSS/Google Reader and iTunes You can also discuss in the class blog http:// mespandt.blogspot.com / (optional) Watch the class blog for any new postings

Blogs and Wiki's - continue to add content to your blog and wiki's and post links the class wiki. Continue to read other people blogs Will Richardson http://weblogg-ed.com / , K-4 Bob Sprankle http:// www.bobsprankle.com/bobsprankle/index.html . etc.

Explore Web 2.0 Tools (YouTube, TeacherTube, SlideShare, RockYou, Proprofs, VoiceThread, etc) and link one or more to your wiki or blog.

Take the SMART Board (PW SMART) and Web 2.0 Quiz (PW MESPA) in the blog (Optional: create a quiz using http:// www.proprofs.com ) or a SlideShare and link to your blog or wiki. If you have access to a SMART Board make sure you install V10 and review the software covered in class.

Review projects in the class wiki from previous MEPSA group of students (link http:// mespandt.pbwiki.com /Groups ) to get an idea for a project for session three.

Optional - If you have a short video (1-2 minutes) depending on class time we will attempt to play

with MovieMaker or iMovie to edit so you can upload to TeacherTube (create a TeacherTube and

VoiceThread Account for next class, so we can just log in and use).

Wordle - wordle.net Wordle is a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes.
