  • 12. Step 2 Log in using your netid and password
  • 13. Step 3 Choose Mail
  • 14. Step 4 Chat pane is located in the bottom left
  • 15. Step 4.1 If you need to download the Google Hangouts plugin, you will get a prompt
  • 16. Step 4.2 You may also need to add contacts if you want to talk to someone outside the UALR.edu domain.
  • 17. Step 5 Chose and click on a person’s name. A chat window will pop up.
  • 18. Step 6 Choose voice, video, or multiple-person communication We’re talking Hangouts today
  • 19. Step 7 Wait for your partner to join the call
  • 20. Step 8 Talk away
  • 21. Step 9 Hang up You can also mute your mike or turn off your camera
