  • Sean, it's worse than that. I've heard that Google intends to stop showing even Toolbar PageRank eventually.

Marty, I totally agree that one of the smartest thing any content-publishing site could be doing right now is to recruit a stable of writers with Google+ profiles who have established good reputations in topics related to the site. With the direction Google seems to be heading, this is essential future-proofing for your site's SEO.

Ronnie, I love Hangouts, but there is still no substitute for the live conference experience. I got to meet and interact with a lot of people who knew me only online, and I feel the face-to-face experience deepens and strengthens the relationships significantly. And also you can't yet get people to buy you beers on Hangouts.

  • So now that we've fingered PageRank as the culprit, I think it would be nice if Google would make public PageRank updates more frequently. I get that PageRank fluctuates every day but I had only started using Google Plus actively starting in mid January and Google's last public release was in February. At that time my PageRank was N/A, not even a 1 because I had never really used the account I guess.

I'd like to see if it has gone up.
