    • Find Your Keywords
      • Local searches
        • dentist, restaurant
        • accountants thatcham
        • accountants berkshire
    • Register with Google Places
      • www.google.co.uk/local/add
      • You do not need a website
      • Claim your listing

    • Keywords (cont)
      • Use Google keywords tool
        • 10+ searches per month
      • Choose one primary keyword and two secondary keywords
  • 6. Your Website
    • Do the Following
      • Your business address and local telephone number in your footer
    • Contact Us Page
      • Your business address and local phone number
      • Your opening hours
      • A Google map
  • 7. Completing the Form
    • Company Name
      • Don’t include any keywords unless they are part of your company name
        • Eg: Thames Valley Business Advisors
      • Do not use a P.O. Box
    • Business Address
      • Match the address exactly to your website
  • 8. Completing The Form (2)
    • Telephone Number
      • Use your local phone number
      • Can also include 0800, 0845 as additional numbers
    • Email Address/Website
      • Include them
        • Website optional
  • 9. Completing The Form (3)
    • Business Description
      • Very Important!!
        • Do not include words that appear in your company name, your address (especially the town/city or county) or category fields
      • Include:
        • Primary keyword
        • Secondary keywords
        • Locations
        • Must make sense!
      • 200 characters

    • Map Marker
      • Check to make sure it is in the right place
      • Used by Google for directions
    • Business Categories
      • Choose a Google pre-defined one first
      • Enter your own
        • State what your business IS not what it DOES
      • DO NOT include locations
  • 11. Completing The Form (5)
    • Custom Attributes
      • Include an “Areas Covered”
        • List all locations you want to be found for except the town/city in your business address
      • Include additional items
        • Eg: what your business does (products/services), special terms, speciality, email, payment types accepted
    • Make Your Listing Complete
      • Include at least one photo
      • Include opening hours
      • Include one video
