Knowing when and how to use your social channelseffectively is one of your most valuable assets when it comes topreparing for SXSW. Here are some points to consider before you go.Make sure your social media profiles are up to datePut your best social media face forward. Upload a professional, clear, and friendly headshot of yourselfas your LinkedIn and/or Twitter profile photo. Not only does it look more professional but it will make iteasier for other attendees to make the connection between your online and offline self. Also, make sureyour social profiles are complete and have your most current public information, including your full name,employer, and where you’re from (Country at minimum, but State and/or City are more helpful). YourSXSW badge will have your photo and, potentially, social account information, so you don’t want to leadpeople to an out-of-date destination.
