Just as there are physical laws that govern the physical universe, sothere are spiritual laws that govern your relationship with God.
LAW 1: GOD LOVES YOU AND OFFERS A WONDERFUL PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE.God’s LoveJohn 3:16 - For God so loved the world thathe gave his one and only Son, that whoeverbelieves in him shall not perish but haveeternal life.God’s PlanJohn 10:10 (Christ speaking) “I have come that theymay have life, and have it to the full.”
LAW 2: MAN IS SINFUL AND SEPARATED FROM GOD. THEREFORE, HE CANNOT KNOW AND EXPERIENCE GOD’S LOVE AND PLAN FOR HIS LIFE.Man is SinfulRomans 3:23 - For all have sinned and fall shortof the glory of God.Man is SeparatedMan was created to have fellowship of God; but because of his stubbornself-will, he chose to go on his own independent way and fellowship withGod was broken. This self-will, characterized by an attitude of active rebellion or passiveindifference, is an evidence of what the Bible calls sin.Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death (Spiritual separation from God).
This diagram illustrates that God is holy andman is sinful. A great gulf separates the two.The arrows illustrate that man is continuallytrying to reach God and the abundant lifethrough his own efforts, such as a goodlife, philosophy, or religion – but he inevitablyfails.
LAW 3: JESUS CHRIST IS GOD’S ONLY PROVISION FOR MAN’S SIN. THROUGH HIM YOU CAN KNOW AND EXPERIENCE GOD’S LOVE AND PLAN FOR YOUR LIFE.He died in our PlaceRomans 5:8 - But God demonstrateshis own love for us in this: While wewere still sinners, Christ died for us. Christ died for usHe rose from the dead1 Corinthians 15:3-6 - For what I received Ipassed on to you as of first importance: that Christdied for our sins according to the Scriptures, thathe was buried, that he was raised on the third dayaccording to the Scriptures, and that he appearedto Cephas, and then to the Twelve. After that, heappeared to more than five hundred of the brothers He rose from the deadand sisters at the same time, most of whom are stillliving, though some have fallen asleep.
He is the only way to GodJohn 14:6 - Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and thelife. No one comes to the Father except through me. This diagram illustrates that God has bridged the gulf that separates us from Him by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross in our place to pay the penalty for our sins.
LAW 4: WE MUST INDIVIDUALLY RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST AS SAVIOR AND LORD; THEN WE CAN KNOW AND EXPERIENCE GOD’S LOVE AND PLAN FOR OUR LIVES.We must receive ChristJohn 1:12 - Yet to all who did receive You became a child ofhim, to those who believed in his Godname, he gave the right to becomechildren of God.We must receive Christ through faithEphesians 2:8-9 - For it is bygrace you have been It is the gift ofsaved, through faith and this is not God, not as a resultfrom yourselves, it is the gift of ofGod, not by works, so that no one workscan boast.
We must Receive Christ, We Experience New BirthJohn 3:1-8 - Now there was a Pharisee, a mannamed Nicodemus who was a member of theJewish ruling council. He came to Jesus at nightand said, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacherwho has come from God. For no one could performthe signs you are doing if God were not with him. Experience a New“Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can Birth – John 3:1-8see the kingdom of God unless they are bornagain. “How can someone be born when they areold?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot entera second time into their mother‟s womb to beborn!” Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, noone can enter the kingdom of God unless they areborn of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth toflesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. Youshould not be surprised at my saying, „You mustbe born again.‟ The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where itcomes from or where it is going. So it is witheveryone born of the Spirit.”
We must Receive Christ through Personal InvitationRevelation 3:20 - Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hearsmy voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and theywith me. Receiving Christ turning to God from self (repentance) and trusting Christ to come into our lives to forgive our sins and to make us what He wants us to be. Just to agree intellectually that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died on the cross for our sins is not enough. Nor is it enough to have an emotional experience. We receive Christ by faith, as an act of our will.
Which circle best represents your life?Which would you like to represent your life
God knows your heart and is not so concernedwith your words as He is with the attitude ofyour heart. The following is a suggested prayer:Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank you for dying onthe cross for my sins. I open the door of my lifeand receive You as Savior and Lord. Thank youfor forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life.Take control on the throne of my life.Make me the kind of person you want me to be. Does this prayer express the desire of your heart? If it does, I invite you to pray this prayer right now, and Christ will come into your life as He promised.
Did you receive Christ into your life? According to His promise inRevelation 3:20, where is Christ in relation to you? Christ said that Hecome into your life. Would He mislead you? On what authority do you knowthat God has answered your prayer? (The trustworthiness of God Himselfand His Word.)1John 5:11-13 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternallife, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever doesnot have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you whobelieve in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that youhave eternal life.Thank God often that Christ is in your life and that He will never leaveyou (Hebrews 13:5). You can know on the basis of His promise that Christlives in you and that you have eternal life from the moment you inviteHim in. He will not deceive you.
Do not depend on Feelings The promise of God‟s Word, the Bible – not our feelings – is our authority. The Christian lives by faith (trust) in the trustworthiness of God Himself and His Word. This diagram illustrates among fact (God and His Word), and feeling (the result of our faith and obedience). Read John 14:21 John 14:21 - Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”The train will run with or without caboose. However, it would be useless toattempt to pull the train by the caboose. In the same way, as Christians we donot depend on feelings or emotions, but we place our faith (trust) in thetrustworthiness of God and His Word.
Now That You Have Received ChristThe moment you received Christ by faith as an act of the will manythings happened, including the following: Christ came into your life (Revelations 3:20; Colossians 1:27) Revelation 3:20 - Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. Colossians 1:27 - To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Your sins were forgiven (Colossians 1:13-14)Colossians 1:13-14 - For he has rescued us from the dominion of darknessand brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we haveredemption, the forgiveness of sins. You became a child of God (John 1:12) John 1:12 - Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
You received Eternal Life (John 5:24) John 5:24 - “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life. You began the great adventure for which God created You (John10:10; 2Corinthians 5:17; 1Thessalonians 5:16-18)John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill anddestroy; I have come that they may have life, and have itto the full.2Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore, if anyone is inChrist, the new creation has come: The old has gone, thenew is here!1Thessalonians 5:16-18 - Rejoice always, praycontinually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this isGod‟s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Fellowship in a Good ChurchGod‟s Word instructs us not to forsake the “assembling of ourselvestogether” (Hebrews 10:25). Several logs burn brightly together, butout one side on the cold hearth and fire goes out. So it is with otherChristians. If you do not belong to a church, do not wait to be invited. Take theinitiative; call the Pastor of a nearby church where Christ is honored andHis Word is preached.Start this week, and make plans to attend regularly.
