  • 2. Introduction
    • We are group of young entrepreneurs from Iasi,
    • part of Junior Chamber International, the largest and oldest organization of young leaders and entrepreneurs in the world.
    • We are staring JCI Iasi Expats , a club for foreign people working or living in Iasi.
    • We would like to invite you to join!
  • 3. About JCI
    • JCI means Junior Chamber International, a young Chamber of Commerce
    • It is the largest organization of young leaders and entrepreneurs in the world
      • 1/4 million members
      • millions of alumni members
      • 6000 local communities
      • 110 countries
  • 4. The role of JCI
    • A platform which allows young entrepreneurs, leaders and professionals to bring positive change in society
    • By being involved in JCI projects the members can:
      • Develop leadership skills
      • Develop entrepreneurship skills
      • Promote Corporate Social Responsibility
      • Grow positive social values
    • It is a place where you encounter, learn and grow to become a better person, leader and citizen
  • 5. JCI Romania
    • JCI is active in Romania for 7 years in Bucureşti, Iaşi, Sibiu, Cluj, Timişoara , Lugoj, Suceava, Vaslui… and soon to come Bacau, Piatra Neamt
    • We aim to be the voice of young entrepreneurs in Romania, having a positive impact in public policy in Romania
    • National projects to stimulate the economy and develop entrepreneurship :

    • An initiative of JCI Iasi aimed to:
      • Increase the attractiveness of Iasi for foreign citizens
      • Offer expats options to socialize and spend free time
      • Give expats a voice in the local community
    • Some of our ideas at the start:
      • Trips to discover the hidden gems of the Romanian country
      • Romanian language courses
      • A Grand Ball on Christmas
      • Lots of fun !
    • We are looking forward to listen to your needs and ideas

  • 8. How much does it cost?
    • (Almost) Nothing
    • Being part of JCI means you are volunteering
    • The personal expenses of taking part in JCI activities (dinners, meetings, etc) and projects have to covered by the members
    • A small cost (30-50EUR per person per year) will be required to cover legal and other small administrative expenses
  • 9. Next steps
    • JCI Iasi Expats will be registered as a non-profit NGO at Iasi Court House
    • Members will define vision and projects for the club
    • Announce the launch at the JCI National Conference in Iasi during (30 Oct – 1 Nov)
    • Join the Junior Chamber International federation
