If you have a home based business and you market it online chances
are you have (or know you should have) a blog. But what is the secret
to having a truly effective blog? In this article we’re going to be talking
about a few of the things that you can do to make your online blog
more effective.

The first thing you’ll want to do is think of a good domain name. Most
free blogs will allow you to get a blog and use it for free however you’ll
have to use a sub domain. This is not ideal if you want to get the most
out of your blog.
Domain names are cheap and you can buy them for almost nothing so
this is one of the first things you should do when setting up a blog that
you want to be successful.
Next you’ll want to think about keywords. If you really want your blog
to be successful you’re going to have to have some great keywords.
The more narrow the niche the better. So if you work from home you
probably won’t want to use “home based business” as your keyword
because that’s just too broad a term.
By finding great narrow niche keywords the right people will be able to
find your blog more effectively. You’ll want to use these keywords in
your domain name (if possible) as well as in all of your blog posts and
in the names of the blog categories.
Finally you’ll want to update your blog as often as possible. Not more
than once a day but defiantly more than once a month. Usually 2-4
times per week is ideal, though some people choose to update their
blog every single day and that’s fine as well.
These are just a few things to think about when setting up your blog.
Remember that you can have the greatest blog in the world but if you
can’t get people to see it it does you no good. So make sure you
promote your blog as much as you can and use keywords, keywords,
keywords!

based business blog.
