If you’re thinking about joining a home based business one of the
things you might be wondering is: “How much money can I make my
first year in business?”
While there isn’t really a cut and dry answer to that question there are
a few things you can ask yourself to determine how much you might
make your first year as a business owner.

The first question is, how much time do you have to commit to your
business? Some people have 20 or 30 hours a week to devote to their
home based business while others have just 6 or 7. Obviously the
more time you commit to working your business the faster it’s going to
grow.
Does that mean that you can’t be successful if you don’t have that
much time? No, lots and lots of successful people work full time jobs
at first and a lot of them are even wives and mothers on top of their
work load.
You can be successful working from home no matter how much time
you have per week. However it is going to take longer in almost all
cases.
If you want to make $100,000 your first year you’re going to need to
spend more than an hour a day working your home business.
The next question you need to ask yourself is, how much am I willing
to follow what others are doing?
So many people get started in a home based business and want to do
it “their way” they don’t want to listen to anyone and they certainly
don’t want to be told what to do and what not to do.
That is going to slow down your money making time by a lot. The most
successful people I’ve ever met have been people who know how to
take direction and do what other successful people have done.
The final thing you will want to ask yourself is, what does your
compensation plan look like?

There are all different types of comp plans in network marketing.
Some are designed to help you make a lot of money right away and
some are designed for more consistent gradual growth. Both can be
great depending on what you wan to accomplish but if you’re wanting
to make big money your first year you’ll want a comp plan that is
designed to make you’re the most money in the fastest amount of
time.
No I’m not talking about a “get rich quick thing” but it’s important to
know that not all compensation plans are created equal.
So how much money can you make your first year in network
marketing? I can’t tell you that. But by answering the questions above
you should get a pretty good idea for yourself.
