For most home based business owners getting the most work out of a small window of time is important. Almost everyone who works from home also starts out with a full time job or is a stay at home mom or dad. Because your time is precious you need to know that when you are working your business you are getting the most out of every second. This is especially true when you are sitting down to call prospects.
    2. You want to think of your calling time as a rapid fire type of thing. It should be call, call, call, call not call, break, call, break, call, break. If you’re nervous about calling prospects, and a lot of us are when we first start out, calling one right after the other will help you to get it done rather than procrastinating and doing very little. Just remember the only way you will ever grow and actually learn to enjoy calling people is by doing lots of it. I remember when I first started calling prospects I would do everything but call. I would rearrange my desk, go to the bathroom, get a snack, or usually just sit there and look at my list terrified of actually picking up the phone. However, once I actually started talking to people I realized that it really wasn’t so hard. I even started to have fun! By calling prospects one right after the other you start to get better and better and eventually have a lot of fun talking to people. Another thing that can be really helpful is to sort out your leads ahead of time by time zone. Start with Pacific time, then Mountain, Central and Finally Eastern. This is helpful because if you are calling your prospects at night you will want to call them in this order. Remember if it’s 6 o’clock in California it’s 9 o’clock in Florida and you don’t want to be calling people when it’s too late in their time zone. This is something that I started to do after I called someone at about 10:30 PM their time… not good.
    3. If you are making your calls in the morning of course it will go the other way. If it’s 9 AM Eastern it’s only 6 AM Pacific… now THAT would be a bad prospecting call! Learn to make the most out of your calling time and you will start to see results faster in your business. Just remember that the more people you talk to the closer you are to your success. Work hard and you won’t be able to stop the money from rolling in! Want to find the best Home Based Businesses dealing with the most important issue today... Health?
