Global warming Presentation Transcript

  • 1. Marie McCauley Global Warming!!
  • 2. What is Global Warming?
    • Global warming is when the earth heats up (the temperature rises). It happens when greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide, water vapour, nitrous oxide, and methane) trap heat and light from the sun in the earth’s atmosphere, which increases the temperature. This hurts many people, animals and plants because they can get killed.
  • 3. What is Global Warming doing to the Environment Issues?
    • Global warming makes the sea rise.
    • Floods in the lands.
    • Waste food.
    • Waste rubbish.
    • Turning lights on.
    • Listening to a stereo.
    • Washing or drying clothes.
    • Riding in a car.
    • Using a hair dryer.
    • Travelling on bus, trains, cars and aeroplanes
    • Smoking.
    • Climate change.
    • Pollution.
  • 4. Greenhouse Effect!! The atmosphere makes it easy for human people to live on Earth. If there gets to be too many gasses the earth can get unusually warmer and many plants, animals, and people will die. There will be less food and water also trees would not take in the carbon dioxide.
  • 5. How to stop Global Warming?
    • Using hot water:
    • You can use less hot water to save energy and you can turn off the water if you are not using it.
    • Electricity:
    • Save electricity for global warming by turning off lights when you can leave a room. Also remember to turn off your television, video player, stereo and computer.
    • Cutting down trees:
    • If you cut down trees that’s global warming because you need trees for oxygen.
    • Waste rubbish:
    • Waste rubbish and putting it on the streets is global warming so you can recycle tins, plastic, paper and newspaper.
  • 6. Global Temperatures!!
  • 7. Greenhouse Gasses
    • Greenhouse gasses like carbon dioxide are gasses that collect in the earth’s atmosphere. We are making to too of it and it is changing the way the Earth works.
  • 8. THE END!!
