  2. 2. Unstressed one-syllable words <ul><li>The twelve words most frequently used all belong to the group of unstressed words of one syllable. </li></ul><ul><li>These twelve make up 25 percent of all that is written or spoken in English. </li></ul>Rodriguez Comboni
