  • 1. At daytime, the sun shines in the sky. It makes the day bright. Without the sun, Earth will be in total darkness. The sun shines all the time. It shines on other parts of the Earth.
  • 2. The sun is made of very hot gases.
  • 3. It looks like a big ball of fire in the sky.
  • 4. The clouds differ in shape and color. Some clouds are white, some are gray.
  • 5. We can see a rainbow when the sun shines after a rain shower.
  • 6. It is nighttime. You see the moon. The moon goes around the Earth. The light of the moon comes from the sun.

  • 8. The stars are clearly seen at night. They seem to twinkle in the night sky. They make the sky beautiful at night.
  • 9. Some stars are big, others are small. But during the day we can only see one big star. It is the sun. The sun is a medium-sized star.
