Our eyes are attracted to colorful things. Color gives life to painting, drawing, photographs and television. If everything were in black and white there would not be much to characterize what we see. The purpose of the activity is to teach children new vocabularies about colors and make them identify colors. There are many ways to teach children the basic colors. Some can be fun and interesting and some can be boring. Teaching children colors by playing games is not only fun but also it grabs their attention and make them interact fast with you and it gives them courage to cooperate with different ways to learn something basic. I'm dealing with intermediate school students. So there are many ways to incorporate the activity in the lesson like “Find the color " game ,you ask the children to find two things in the class that are brown or to tell you three things in the kitchen that are red. Another activity is “play I spy the teacher pick's a colored object and recite” I spy with my little eye, something the is red the children will look around and guess which object you picked. Also we can teach colors by flash cards and through food. In this activity the students will guess and choose the color from the pictures which is given to them.
This activity will make the students memorize, identify and learn the colors effectively without any difficulties and pressure.
